Like the good old days !

My friend Cécile (not the one who got her baby, another one) arrived yesterday at home.
She is staying in Caen for 5 months because she is doing a stage at uni! I'm so happy she is here, it's gonna enlarge my number of friends here and teh going out times!
We were in Cherbourg together, and then we both went to Pontypridd for a year. Living together again (even if it is just for a few days) remind me the totally great (not) time we had in Wales, and specially Cherbourg !! Ah, the good old days !!!

Pride and prejudice

I went to see this movie last night with my friend Juliette, and I was so surprised !!!
I thought the film will be boring, as i read the book in my first months in Bangor (yeah, yeah, tried some litterature which was not scientific nor stupid !). I really didnt like the book and the writing, and i remember i had to force myself to finish reading the whole thing! So, what a surprise, the movie is just excellent, i was laughing my head off for the whole time. The actors are great (Kiera Knightley, is just too pretty, that's annoying!) specially the new Darcy !!!, and the settings are beautiful!!!
In a word, it's a really good movie for a "suspected crap" one ! I think i will have to see it in english now !!!

Baby Talk

A big massive "CONGRATULATIONS !" for my friend Cécile who gave birth to little Alice (well, not that little, apparently she weighs 4 kilos !) last night at 3 !!!!

Welcome to this world Alice !

I've got a stage !!!!!!!!

Well, it's not really precise yet, but I know what im gonna be doing in april-may (and maybe june july)!!!! I'm sooooo happpy !!!
So, yes, i am gonna be studying the sedimentation on some of Calvados beaches, with the relation of marine benthos!!! exactely what i wanted to do since the EIA in Bangor !
YEEEPPPEEEEE !!!!!

Back at uni !

Life is like a big circle, you think that you are definitely finished with school and uni, and, without noticing, it's just starting over again ! Where the hell did I miss the turn !?!
So, it's been a week now that the second semester of my current "master de biologie des populations et écosystèmes" has kicked off...
For the moment I can just say that I might have more friends than last semester (it takes a REALLY long time for french to be friendly, apparently), and that the course is getting better (brand new modules more marine than before !!! yeppeee!).
So, overall, going back to uni is not as hell as I thought it will be. This has been quite a good "rentrée", with lots of "going for coffee with mates" cause we missed the lectures by not reading well the time table (yeah, I'm not really proud of that...)

Harry Potter

Bad news...

So, i am sure that you are all dying to know how my exams went... Well, quite bad actually :-( The worst thing was that is was quite simple in fact. I kinda got focused on all the difficult stuff that i didn't understand and left the easy stuff on the side, not even bothering to read through it thinking that it was too simple to be the subject of an exam... (and who cares about "le contrôle de la ponte chez les mollusques" anyway ?). So, this is all bad news for september, when i will have to retake them, with hard subjects ! Bouuuhhhh...
After this friday day of death (5 exams in a day, my record!), i went to a birthday party where i was really high at the start, and suddendly fall asleep without warning (no, i wasn't even drunk!) , and managed to get out of the sofa to go back home at 1 in the morning !
Saturday was holiday for me, so I managed to go window shopping (the sales are starting this wednesday!) and watched the whole last season of cutting it ! (we don't have it in France so I have to buy it on ebay...poor us). This was quite a challenge, and i am proud to announce that i really well handled it !!!
Then, we celebrated new year in familly (yeah i know, this was a bit late...). But we didnt get to celebrate it on the day cause there was missing some of us... So, we finally got reunited the all 6 of us (which doesnt happen quite often believe me, even when living together), and got drunk with champagne and had a massive dinner (my little brother even had too much to eat and was sick all night ! lol )... so for once we had a good time alltogether cause my mum was too drunk to be annoying (or maybe, i was too drunk to find her annoying...)

Exams tomorrow !!!
J'en ai marrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeee de bosser et perdre du temps à faire semblant d'apprendre des trucs nuls qui me serviront absolument jamais et que de toutes facons je vais pas les avoir ces putains d'exams de merde !!!!!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year !!!!!
I wish you lots of happiness and good things (which include whatever you want ! I am so nice) !!!
I spent new year's eve at some friends flat (where we had lots of food, fireworks and champagne !) and some of my cousins (who i very rarely see) came by and brought some more champagne !!! Yeepee !!! So apart from the fact that i have exams in less than a week, i spent a really good night, totally different from the other new years eve i had in the past !! (which is one constant new year's resolution... for the others, i won't tell you because i rarely manage to keep them! héhéhé)

Anyway, I hope I'll get to see all of my friends during 2006, that's a good wish (et plus réalisable que de demander un boulot et un copain !!!)
